UNC Hospitals boasts a vibrant and varied Healing Arts program, which includes music, dance, poets, puppets, magic, storytelling, visual art, interactive and expressive arts.

Works of North Carolina artists are exhibited in the Women's Health Information Center in the Women's Hospital lobby and the Patient/Family Resource Center in the NC Clinical Cancer Center.

Brushes with Life is part of the STEP program and displays art and poetry by artists with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. These works can be seen in the Neurosciences Hospital.

Since 1995, DooR to DooR has brought professional performing and visual artists to the patients, families, staff, and community at UNC Hospitals.

Carolina Ha Ha volunteers and staff provide Expressive Arts in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, the Laugh Mobile in Rehab, and the Story Mobile in Pediatrics.
